Eye Makeup for Beginners

Start with clean eyelids

Wash your face and remove any oil or leftover makeup.

Apply a base

Use a tiny amount of concealer or eye primer on the eyelids. Blend with your finger.

Set the base lightly

Use a small amount of loose or compact powder to prevent creasing.

Apply a light eyeshadow

Choose a nude or light brown shade. Sweep it all over the eyelid.

Add a slightly darker shade

Apply it only on the outer corner of the eye. Blend gently inward.

Apply eyeliner

Draw a thin line close to the upper lash line. Keep it simple and short.

Curl your eyelashes

Hold the curler for a few seconds at the lash base.

Apply mascara

Start from the roots and move upward slowly. One or two coats are enough.

Clean up mistakes

Use a cotton bud or concealer to fix edges if needed.

Check both eyes

Make sure both sides look even before finishing.
